You will receive a consider result on the applicants check. You can view details of this if you click on the applicant's name on the dashboard.
- For criminal checks in England and Wales (processed by the Disclosure and Barring Service - DBS), only a clear or consider result will be returned. If a consider result is returned this indicates that the applicant may have an unspent conviction, you will need to request the certificate directly from the applicant. They will have received, by post, instructions on how to set up an online DBS account, through which they can provide consent for you to access their online certificate. They will have received by post a paper copy of their certificate if they chose to when filling in the applicant form.
- For criminal checks in Scotland (processed by Disclosure Scotland - DS) you will receive either a clear or consider result if you receive a consider result this will also list the unspent convictions listed for this applicant.
A clear criminal history report via the DBS will be returned to your dashboard like the below example:
