A basic check is the simplest form of a criminal check that can be run on any applicant. These checks can also be run on applicants in other situations where they may need to provide proof of their unspent convictions e.g. applying for an insurance claim or to be a tenant on a property.
Criminal history records are provided by liaising with the National Police Database to verify and disclose all unspent convictions and conditional cautions*
